The endgame of Celebrity Traitors brought a last-minute twist at the final round table. King Kenny turned on the queen and voted Maya out of the game.

The five-week, 10-episode series drew record-breaking viewing figures, though its tone was more restrained than in previous runs. Even so, the finale included a sudden shift in the final stages.

As Maya left the game, she told the group, 'Good luck. You're going to need it.' Romesh read the remark as a warning. He changed his vote and banished James Blunt, who had been a Faithful.

Kenny had expected to be in a strong position to win. However, Bash stepped in, split the vote and persuaded Romesh to vote out the last remaining Traitor instead.

Three Faithfuls Remain

Only three Faithfuls were left, and they had planned to end the game and share the prize money equally. Blunt, however, had one more chance to vote against the Traitors. He took it and was voted off.

Bash and Romesh decided to split their prize money between two charities that support refugees and displaced people.

The reviewer noted that the series was unlikely to be remembered as a classic. It had few twists and limited suspense. Even so, it delivered the entertainment it was intended to provide.
