Fuel prices in Türkiye may rise again in November. A staged special consumption tax (ÖTV) increase set by a Presidential Decree is expected to take effect on 1 November 2026, raising gasoline and diesel prices. LPG could see a larger increase.

According to a report by the newspaper Gazete Pencere, the new stage of the ÖTV increase is expected to be applied on 1 November. The price changes have not yet been officially confirmed.

Sector sources say that if the ÖTV change is applied, the pump price including VAT could rise by 4.15 lira per litre for gasoline and 3.60 lira per litre for diesel.

Diesel Nears 100 Lira Mark

If the expected increases reach pump prices, diesel could exceed 100 lira per litre. Shared calculations show diesel in Istanbul rising from 96.90 lira to 100.50 lira per litre.

For gasoline, the current price of 76.30 lira per litre would increase by 4.15 lira to 80.45 lira, according to the same calculations.

LPG Increase Also Expected

An increase is also expected for LPG. A claimed rise of 9 lira per litre for autogas has been reported. If it happens, LPG prices in many large cities could exceed 50 lira per litre.

No official price change has been announced for LPG so far.

Official Confirmation Still Pending

The ÖTV-related price increases are expected to apply from Sunday, 1 November 2026. All figures mentioned are based on expectations and claims. Final pump prices will depend on the official regulation and the announcement of price changes.
