Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran made a statement on the submission to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) of a bill to ratify the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, signed by Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He shared his remarks on his NSosyal account.

Duran said submitting the bill to parliament is an important step toward institutionalizing strategic cooperation among the three brotherly countries. He said:

“This strategic partnership, developed between our countries, aims to strengthen collective deterrence, increase common defense capabilities, and maintain security and stability in our region. The Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, which is based on regional countries taking responsibility for the issues of our region, is a manifestation of a shared will that prioritizes security and solidarity. I wish the ratification process in the TBMM will be beneficial for our country and our brotherly countries, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. I also thank all the political parties and members of parliament who have contributed.”
